P322 Lipid profiles in a Scottish adult cystic fibrosis (CF) centre - prevalence and significance in an aging population

To determine the prevalence of following cardiovascular (CV) risk factors; total cholesterol (C) >5, HDL C <1.1, Non-HDL >4, LDL >3, triglycerides >2.3 and total: >6. explore relationship between above factors age, gender, body mass index (BMI), CF diabetes (CFD), pancreatic transplant status. A blood lipid profile was collected, in a non-fasting state, at routine out-patient visits. 166 patients (90 men, 76 women). Median age 31 years. BMI 23.7 kg/m2. 34 (20.5%) sufficient (PS), 132 (79.5%) insufficient (PI). 13 (8%) post-transplant (Tx). 55 (33%) CFD. With advances treatment, prognosis is improving life expectancy increasing. This result increased dyslipidaemia disease.
